  Confidentiality Broker / Client relationship

Broker Client confidentiality is key in our business model. The information you provide to us is only used by our Agency and our affiliate SValencia International an internet Hosting and Marketing Company.

In order for us to provide you with Professional advice it is absolutely necessary that we have an open and honest relationship whereby we gather information from you in order to evaluate your exposure to risk, to present data to our respective company underwriters with which we work to obtain you price quote indications and respectively interact with the Insurance Carriers.

Our affiliate company SValencia International is privy to such information in that the Broker / Agent is also the Owner and Founder of SValencia International and in his quest to ad a "value-added" service to it's Construction buddies, may wish to make contact with you to offer discounted business class hosting or advertising opportunities thru SValencia International.  For example, SValencia International is developing a "site" www.AmericanContractorExchange.com" This site American Contractor Exchange.com is an International, National and Regional search directory site designed specifically to assist the Construction Industry in Advertising and Marketing. (please visit the site for more details or write to Steve@SValenciaInternational.com.  The two companies are wholly owned and operated in the U.S. by Steve Valencia.

What is needed to get a quote...

The information we need may vary depending upon your operations. In some respects it is a multi-phased question and answer process. Generally, in our first phase we ask a broad range of questions so that we can gather data for our various insurance carriers and determine what "is" included in your operations and that which "is not" included in your operations or "excluded" in your operations.

Phase 1. also includes receiving :

  • a brief resume of your experience,
  • prior hard copy loss runs (if you had prior insurance coverage) or a letter stating you have not had any losses in the last five years. What if you have had losses? Then explain, in writing ...again on your letter head, in which of the last five years the losses occurred, the type of loss, if the claim is closed or open and the amount paid out, if any.
  • a completed application or online questionnaire, (or download and submit a paper application application or you can have us send one to you 888-299-1870 or we can complete one with you over the phone. Coverage cannot be bound simply by making a request)
  • In our efforts to obtain multiple quotes, "we" must ask questions that are "specific" to each carrier. At times you may think you are completing a questionnaire that does not pertain to your operations or it may seem like some questions do not pertain to your operations or type of license, or that you just answered a "similar" question...but we need to ask these questions of you because they will become part of an eventual application with which ever company we end up with. On our end, we take the information and then copy this onto several other "Company Specific" applications and then begin to fax or email completed packages to the respective Underwriters to price quotes. Having a complete package of information is vital to a submission.
  • In some cases, an exclusive Broker of Record Change request, written on your letter head and a list of Insurance Companies (not brokers names) that you have receive a quote(s) from. Why do we need this information? Because in many cases, first "complete" submission (application and supporting data...loss runs, resume...) "blocks" the market. This means it is not assessable to quote again and the only way we can assist you with the account is to become the broker of record. What if I do not want to have you as my broker of record yet? Good question! This is for your to decide. But it has to make sense that time and effort go into providing services to you. Insurance Carriers in many cases will not have their people quote the same account multiple times. We...do not like to waste our time with a submission to a carrier to find out the market has been blocked. Instead we could submit to markets that have not been blocked or have you make the determination to have us as your broker. In which case any markets that have been blocked will become unblocked and prior notice if given in writing to the former broker that you have requested to move the account to us. This time allow for the former broker requires ten days. What if I am within ten days? If you determine the quote you received from that broker is the one you want...sign with that broker.  If the following year you would like for us to become the broker start the process over again but allow for enough time for us to take the account over.  Feel free to call 888-299-1870 with any questions.                 top
  Annual Service Reviews

Annual service reviews are a requirement for your protection and as part of the regular service our client's receive.

Our staff will contact you approximately 60 days in advance to remind you to complete a renewal questionnaire or to schedule an appointment with your Broker to discuss your operations. This is a very important part of a free service we provide that is included when you purchase your insurance with us.

The reviews allow us to reevaluate your operations and the exposure to them, determine weather to renew with the same carrier or re-market to other companies. This re marketing of your account is time consuming. We ask that you do not wait until the final days prior to the expiration date of your policy to respond because it does not allow us ample time to do our job correctly and efficiently for you. Depending on the complexity of your operations, it could take up to 30 days to do an efficient job in re-marketing you insurance. Do not take a chance on being without the correct insurance or having a lapse in your policy coverage. Please note, the General Liability, Professional liability and other lines of insurance are not an automatic renewal. Your cooperation is required each and every year!
